FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Your Advantage Through 3D Technology

Efficiency and precision are crucial in modern industry and architecture. Discover how our 3D printing systems can revolutionize your workflow. In our FAQs, we clarify the most important questions regarding technology, materials, and your individual applications.

3D Printing for SMEs & Industry

Optimize your product development and manufacturing processes. We support Swiss SMEs in realizing functional prototypes, custom tools, and efficient small series directly from the digital template.

SMEs primarily save time and costs through "Rapid Prototyping." Instead of waiting weeks for external parts, you can print functional prototypes or custom assembly aids (jigs & fixtures) in-house within a few hours.
    • Absolutely. For quantities of 1 to about 500 units, 3D printing is often cheaper than injection molding, as no expensive molds need to be produced in advance. This enables "on-demand" production without storage costs.

Architecture & Model Making

Transform complex CAD designs into tactile experiences. We create detailed architectural models in precise scales for competitions, client presentations, and urban planning.

Common scales such as 1:50, 1:100, or 1:200 are standard. Thanks to our high level of detail accuracy, even the finest facade structures and window frames can be represented precisely.
We use robust plastics that feel high-quality to the touch and are resistant to sunlight. The models are ideal for competitions and client presentations.

Materials & Technical Properties

From standard plastics to high-performance polymers. Learn more about the mechanical load capacity, heat resistance, and UV stability of our filaments such as PLA, PETG, and carbon.

For technical components, we recommend PETG or carbon fiber reinforced filaments. These offer high impact resistance and stiffness, which are essential for functional parts in the industry.
Yes, we carry materials such as ASA or special polycarbonates that remain dimensionally stable at higher temperatures (over 100°C) and are also UV resistant for outdoor use.

Large Format 3D Printing

Think big – without seams. Thanks to our generous build space of over 500mm, we produce large components and models in one piece, ensuring maximum stability and a high-quality aesthetic.

Many industrial components or architectural models usually have to be painstakingly printed and glued together in individual parts. With our 500mm build space, we print large objects in one piece, which increases stability and saves post-processing time.
Yes, the large print bed allows us to produce entire batches of small parts in a single pass, significantly increasing efficiency and delivery speed for our customers.

Costs & Quotation Process

Transparency from the start. Learn how the prices for your 3D printing projects are composed and how you can quickly and easily receive a binding quote for your components.

The price is primarily based on the printing time, material consumption, and the effort required for post-processing. We would be happy to provide you with a transparent quote based on your CAD file.
Typically, you will receive your individual quote within 24 hours after submitting your data and requirements.

Data Formats & Print Preparation

The path from the digital model to the finished object. We explain the requirements for your CAD data (STL, STEP) and how we guarantee error-free production through professional data verification.

We prefer to work with STL or STEP files. Almost every modern CAD program can export these formats.
Yes, every model undergoes a basic check with us. If we find that wall thicknesses are too thin or the model has defects, we will contact you before the printing starts.
